'What a long strange trip it's been'.

(Gerry Garcia - The Grateful Dead)

Having been a musician for nearly 50 years I can certainly echo those words. I hope there's something on my website for everyone to enjoy, especially fans of bands I've played keyboards with - mainly MOTT THE HOOPLE and  DEXYS MIDNIGHT RUNNERS.

There are stories about my life on the road and in studios, plus rare photos. For music-trivia addicts, there's a huge list of gigs I've played - from youth clubs in Lancashire in 1970, to the Hollywood Palladium three years later, and on to the 1990s.

Please check out my current gig list below - and come to see me if you can.

I'm still loving playing live - especially my SOLO PIANO BLUES-ROCK SHOW which you can see most weekends at The Grapevine in Rye - and in other venues. See details below.

I also play in all kinds of venues and private events. So please get in touch if you have an event or venue that you'd like me to play at.

Some comments on TripAdvisor and received by email:

 - Music that was played was great, but Mick Bolton (former keyboard player for Mott The Hoople) was fantastic! Fabulous choice of tunes. Certainly recommended.'

 - The atmosphere was just right...with the great Mick bolton playing the keyboard and singing.

 - Hello Mick ,  just wanted to get back to you to say a big thank you for playing at our wedding reception , we have had so many compliments about your performance that night , brilliant & thank you
